Ruth Ellen Mundy, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully departed this world on February 16, 2026, in Dardenne Prairie, Missouri, just days shy of her 81st birthday. Born on February 25, 1945, in Ferguson, Missouri, Ruth was a beacon of warmth and love to all who knew her.

Ruth’s journey through life was marked by a passion for learning and growth. She attended school for Dental Assistanting before further broadening her horizons by obtaining her real estate license. Ruth even lent her talents to Boeing, where she worked as a blackhole assistant, showcasing her diverse skill set. Her professional endeavors reflect a strong and determined spirit, but it was her role as a devoted family member that truly defined her life.

Ruth’s personality shone brightest in the company of her loved ones. She cherished spending time with her family, creating cherished memories that will stay with them forever. Her heart was full of love for her husband, Gary Mundy Sr., who stood by her side through life's many adventures. Together, they built a strong foundation for their family filled with love and support.

Ruth's legacy continues through her children, Gary Mundy Jr., and Matt (Jill) Mundy, who carry her spirit and values into their own families. As a grandmother, she brought joy to the lives of her grandchildren: Dustin, Devin, and Olivia, each of whom found a special connection with her that will be remembered fondly. Ruth's heart swelled with pride as she embraced her role as a great-grandmother to Chase and Layla, who brought her countless moments of joy and laughter.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents Arvel and Dorothey Joyce, and her dear parent-in-laws Bob and Alice Mundy, who surely welcomed her with open arms. Their presence may be missed, but the love they infused in her life continues to resonate through the family she held dear.
