Ruth E. Norton

Ruth E. Norton, of Rochester and formerly of East Bridgewater, passed away on December 30, 2025. She was 73. Ruth worked as a research technician for Dana Farber and Millennium Biotechnologies. She enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling and crocheting. She could often be found in the kitchen; baking, cooking and canning. Ruth was especially proud of her role in saving the Gladys Farren Cottage in East Bridgewater by initiating the petition that kept it standing. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed.

Devoted mother of Jessica Guidaboni and her boyfriend Chris Rogers of Bridgewater. Cherished grandmother of Hannah Guidaboni and her fiance Matt Blanchette of East Bridgewater. Longtime companion of Rick Brown of Rochester. Loving sister of Jonathan Burrell of Maine and the late Kenny Burrell and Barby Dodero. Also blessed with three generations of nieces and nephews and her beloved cat Gracie.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Ruth may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
