Ruth Railey Ogle

Mrs. Ruth Railey Herron Ogle, age 92, of Fayetteville, GA, passed away peacefully Friday, November 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Wadley, Alabama, December 29, 1932, to Arthur J. and Cora Miller Railey. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Talmadge, Leldon and J.V. (Bud) Railey, in addition, her spouse, James T. Herron and her late husband Richard L. Ogle.

She grew up in Wadley, Alabama and later obtained her Cosmetology license and worked as a beautician; later she became very successful as a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant, who achieved the title of Sales Director and won multiple awards during her 50 year career, and yes, she did drive an infamous "Pink" car.

Her love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was unsurpassed. She loved Southern Gospel music. She was an active member of Line Creek Baptist Church for 20 plus years where she served in many ways, including singing in the choir.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Wimberly of Fayetteville; son, Ricky Herron and wife Penny of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Jason Herron and wife Kayla of Fayetteville, Julie Herron Moody and husband Dustin of Fayetteville; great grandchildren, Cheyenne Herron, Adalee Herron and Wyatt Moody as well as 8 nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 2:00 o'clock at Line Creek Baptist Church, 1488 Bob Smith Road, Sharpsburg, GA 30277 with Dr. David Hammonds and Rev. Scott Hartness officiating. Burial will follow at Turin Memorial Gardens in Turin, GA. The visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 1:00 until 2:00 o'clock at the church.
