Ruth Piper Obituary

Ruth Piper
June 28, 1930 - November 5, 2025
Ruth Ella Piper, 95, a longtime resident of Dryden, passed away on November 5, 2025.
Ruth was born on June 28, 1930, to William and Ella Sprowl in Omak, Washington, where she enjoyed many happy years alongside her four sisters and two brothers.
She met Ed Piper at a local dance, and they were married on March 24, 1951, a marriage of love and respect that endured for 62 years. Ed and Ruth raised their family in Dryden, where Ed was a longtime Principal and Coach. Ruth kept very busy raising their four children, working while they were in school, and always supporting her husband. She was a hard worker, retiring as a Blue Bird Supervisor at age 80. She attended the Leavenworth Church of the Nazarene.
Ruth was a beautiful homemaker. She especially loved celebrating Christmas, enjoyed fresh flower bouquets, and baked the most perfect apple pies. She had a very elegant sense of style.
Ruth will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family. She was a great mom, and we'll miss her very much.
Preceding her in death were her beloved husband, Ed, and her son, Shannon.
She is survived by her children, Randy (Nancy), Lori, David (Lisa), her 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
A very special thank you to River West Retirement Community, and especially nurse Angelica. You have blessed us with your care.
