Ruth Ellen Rankin, 73, of Richmond, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2025.
Born in Richmond, Ruth was known for her kindness, generosity, and strength of spirit, she dedicated her life to caring for others and was deeply loved by her family and friends. Her compassion and selflessness left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Ruth is survived by her nephew, Nick Waldrop, along with numerous friends who will cherish her memory.
A visitation will be held in her honor on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, from 6 and 8 p.m. at Bliley's Funeral Home – 8510 Staples Mill Road, Henrico VA, 23228. The internment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Virginia Association of Workers for the Blind (VAWB).
