To Heidi's Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved mother and wife. She was an incredible person and a kind and helpful friend.
Heidi and I spent a lot of time together from 2nd grade through our middle school years. Her Mom, Ruth, was an incredible cook and baker and we had many wonderful meals together. We all cooked together and Heidi and I snuck a lot of icing while attempting to decorate cakes. I especially remember our always wanting chicken caccitore for dinner! We would be covered in sauce and Ruth threatened to hose us down in the yard if we got sauce on anything!
We decorated the Christmas tree together and were in the same Brownie and Girl Scout troops. We worked so hard to get all of our badges and sold more Girl Scout cookies than the other troops combined! We walked miles upon miles on the slate sidewalks of Warwick, ringing door bells and selling our cookies! We would laugh and sing and dance and we're just goofy together. We camped and golfed, played tennis and we're always up for a good time. Heidi will be always remembered as a special friend from my childhood and I am so blessed to have known her. May happy memories help to ease your pain. Fondly, Sue Toffel-Foster
