George Zicaro

George Zicaro Lancaster, NY George Zicaro, 94, died peacefully on May 19, 2016 in Lancaster, NY. He was born in Manhattan, NY on September 15, 1922 to his dear parents, Domenica (nee Meringold) and Joseph Zicaro. He worked as a postal clerk in Brooklyn, where he lived for many years before moving to Lancaster, NY upon his retirement. George was a loving, kind, and generous man, who took great care of his brothers and sister. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. George was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers, John and Alfred, 3 sisters Carmela, Rose and Angela. He is survived by his beloved neices and nephews, Michele Frankel, Carol Ann Leff, Frank Mavica and Kenneth Mavica and several great-neices and great-nephews. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Route 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908-526-7638). Funeral Services will start with a prayer service at the funeral home at 9:15am on Thursday 26, 2016, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at the St. Bernard's R.C. Church, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Interment will be at First Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, NY.
