Ruth Anne Smith, 90 of Gainesville passed away on Saturday March 7, 2026, at Manor Lake Assisted Living, Gainesville.

Mrs. Smith was born on September 11, 1935, in Lynn, Indiana to Jospeh and Gladys Siegler, Ruth Anne was their only child.

Ruth Anne was a devoted wife to Robert "Bob" Earl Smith, deceased and is survived by Robert (Terry) Smith, stepson and Vikki Russell Smith, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, Ryan Tyler Smith, Lauren Paige Smith Wronowski, Viktor Wronowski, great grandchildren, Camden, Lily Kate, Beckett Smith and Luka Wronowski.

Mrs. Smith worked at Watkins Associated Industries, Inc., as an Executive Administrative Assistant to William B. Watkins, founder, chairman and CEO for many years.

Ruth Anne will always be remembered by her family, friends and co-workers of her gentle kindness, generosity, patients, work ethic, awesome cook and her love and dedication she gave to her whole family.

She was a very active member of the Atlanta Chapter of Professional Secretaries, Inc. (PSI), serving in various officer positions for 40 plus years.

Ruth Anne touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A private celebration of life service will be held with her family at a later date. The family wishes to thank Manor Lake of Gainesville and the Caritas Hospice staff for their care and support for the last five years.
