Tallmadge, formerly of Youngstown- Ruth A. (Suhy) Tarr, 76, entered eternal life on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center in Akron with her family by her side.

Ruth was born March 6, 1947, in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph and Ethel (Pivarnik) Suhy. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger Tarr whom she married October 30, 1965, her parents, and her sister Norma (Suhy) Kukura.

Ruth leaves to carry on her legacy, her 5 daughters, Sharon (Ron) Forrester-Warren, Michelle (Joe) Long, Pam (Shawn) Smith, Diana (Bill) Opritza, Tina (Tom) Spoljaric, 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Ruth enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her 5 girls and her grandchildren, traveling, shopping, and going out to eat. She also loved Bingo at the Briarwood. Ruth took much pride in her Catholic faith and was an active member of her church.

Ruth was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School. She later attended The University of Akron. She was an EMT, phlebotomist, and EKG tech at St. Elizabeth's Hospital.

Ruth's compassion extends beyond her passing, as her final request was honored by whole body donation made through MedCure.

A catholic mass will be dedicated to Ruth on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 11am at Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel In Youngstown.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association by visiting www.alz.org.
