Burial, Rehobeth United Methodist Church, Ramseur.
Ruth was a native of Guilford County and a long time resident of Staley. She was formerly employed by Southern Life Insurance Company of Greensboro, NC. Ruth was a member of First United Methodist Church in Liberty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray C. Thompson, and her parents, Phillip and Sally Baliff Roberson, sisters, Marie Kimel, Delores Harrelson and Faye Hale, brother, J. L. Roberson.
Survivors: daughter, Lynn T. Burgess, and husband, Randy, of Ramseur, son, Steven Ray Thompson, and wife, Julie, of La Cresent, Mn., sister, Martha Lanning, and husband, Jock, of High Point, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren.
The body will lie in repose on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur from noon until 5:00 PM.
