Ruth Diane Vaughn

Cheryl and Jan I am sooo sorry for the loss of your mother. John and I are keeping you in our prayers. I am unable to go to her funeral today because my dad is being put into hospice today at the same time. We will continue to keep you in our prayers.

Augustina Love, Ruth and I worked together for many years at Emmanuel Hospital. And eventually I ended up working under her as my supervisor in payroll. I myself i´m somewhat of a perfectionist. Ruth had a little of that in her also. And there were times when we didn´t always agree on things. But she was the boss and that´s how it was going to be. Years later after my retirement I got a phone call from Ruth. She had heard that I had stage four lung cancer and she wanted to come and visit me, and of course she brought two of our old work friends with her. It was the beginning of a wonderful relationship. Ruth and I called each other and kept in touch at least every week, we talked about families prayed together prayed for each other and laughed about old times. She truly taught me a very small thing that most of us already know but we don´t practice it enough. Today will take care of itself and its own problems, don´t worry about tomorrow it will bring its own problems with it. I´m still talking to Ruthie. And I know she is with Robert. God has her in his hands and she´s asking him some of the questions she and I talked about. I know when I get to see her again she will welcome me with open arms. And always had the brightest eyes and biggest smile.
