Ruth A. Willets, 86 of Newport, NH, passed away at the McCoy Home Assisted Living on February 25, 2025.
She was born in Torrington, CT on February 12, 1939, to Albert and Eva Breault.
Ruth worked for Newport High School, but mainly spent her time as a loving mother and homemaker to her six children. Her and her late husband, William "Bill" Willets, Jr., enjoyed taking their children camping and fishing. Her favorite place to go was Maine, for their many beaches and lighthouses.
She did enjoy crocheting, knitting, and puzzles when she wasn't outside working on her garden. She loved music, especially upbeat country. Her passion was cooking for her family. Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday for that very reason.
Ruth was predeceased by her parents, her husband Bill, and her sister Annamae Willets.
Her surviving family is her six children: Danny Willets, Bill Willets, Bruce Willets, Debbie Belloir, Susan Buswell, and Linda Woods; as well as her brother, Albert Breault, Jr., and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of Ruth's life will take place at a later date at the McCoy Home Assisted Living, 1016 John Stark Highway, Newport, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the McCoy Home.
