Ruth Click Wright

Ruth Click Wright, 92, of Salisbury, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord. She was born on March 12, 1930 in Rowan County to the late Oscar S. and Mae Moore Click.

Ruth worked in retail at Belk and Purcell's, and was a secretary and bookkeeper for several companies including Dees Equipment Company and Burlington Industries, before starting a family. Afterward, she became a domestic engineer and Chief Home Officer.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, who loves her church and church family.
She loved baseball, and served as a Booster Club Member for the Piedmont Bollweevils, as well as a Host Parent to several of the players throughout the years.
She enjoyed her flowers, baking, watching The Golden Girls, visiting with friends, and hearing and seeing her grandsons play any instruments. More than anything, she cherished her family.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her spouse of 57 years, Edward W. Wright, her sister, Eunice Click Sheets of Woodleaf, and her brother, Charles S. Click, of Burlington.
Ruth is survived by her son, Brian Wright (Tammy), daughter, Beth Wright Kidd (Robert Alston), grandsons Alden Wright and Baron Wright, sister-in-law Cyndy Vernon (Steve), brothers-in-law Butch Johnson (Sarah) and Jack Johnson (Peggy), and a Host of nieces and nephews.
There will be a double memorial service for Ruth and her husband, Ed, scheduled at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church Columbarium Fund.
