Ruthann "Ann" Roberts was born September 10, 1946 and joined her parents, Vernon and Mildred Hausenfluck and brother Larry in Heaven on November 22, 2021. Ann graduated from Carroll high School in Flora in 1964; her RN nursing diploma from Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, and later her BSN from St. Joseph's College.

During her career she worked in many areas of nursing. Her favorite was the emergency room, where she was the head nurse at Home Hospital. It was there she met her husband, Don. She was also involved in starting a home health care agency. Later Ann started Individualized Care Management (ICM), a medical case management company. After the sale of ICM, she was involved in setting up onsite medical clinics for large employers.

Ann was also very involved in the churches where her husband, Don, was the minister – leading singing, teaching classes and developing children's programs. Her compassion came out when she heard about a young African ministry student, who had an infection in his jaw. She wanted to send him some antibiotics, but God had a different plan. God opened the door for Moses Thomas to come to the US for medical treatment and live with the Roberts family while he was here. Twenty-one years later Moses is married with two daughters and is bringing many people to Jesus in Africa. He refers to Ann as Mom and knows the impact she had on his life.

Ruthann's greatest joy in life was making memories. Friends and family know that the first Christmas letter they will receive each year will be from ANN and Don! (Except this one) She enjoyed "camping" in their 5th wheel camper. She loved working in the yard and getting new flowers. This year she planted LOTS of zinnia seeds, which resulted in a forest of zinnias! Her strength and FAITH were shown by the fact that she is one of the few who survived endometrial cancer! Christmas time was always special for family and an annual trip to Virginia to Mountain Mission School where she took on the project of reaching out to the staff with Christmas gifts.

Ann touched many lives in many ways, she was deeply loved, and will be greatly missed!!

Ann is survived by her husband, Don Roberts; son, Darrell of Jameston, IN; and daughter, Sarah Grobbeleaar and her husband, Gideon and grandchildren, Alida and Audra of Omaha, NE; who are so special to her. She said, "If I had known grandchildren were so much fun, I would have had them first!" She loved doing crafts and projects with the girls.

My sympathy to Don and children. Lots of good memories. I graduated too from Methodist and also enjoyed our friendship in Fowler. RIP dear lady.
