Ruthie “Ruth” Mae Alexander was born in Rolling Fork, Mississippi, to Earnest Coleman and Rosie Lee Anderson.

Ruthie was a small woman with a big heart. She moved to Boston in search of a better life.  She became a certified Nursing assistant. Ruth spent her life taking care of people. She opened her heart and home to anyone who needed her. Anyone who knew her knows she always cared for the people she loved.  She was loved and respected by all who ever encountered her presence. Ruth Certainly had a way with words; you would cry or laugh.  Ruth enjoyed getting dressed and taking pictures. She also loved to sing and dance.

Ruth accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior long ago; she firmly believed in the most high. She always taught us through Christ, all things are possible.  She would share the “Word of God” with anyone who wanted to listen.

Her most considerable pride and joy were her daughters and grandchildren. She took great pride in watching her girls become the women they are because of her love and discipline.

Ruthie is survived by her 4 Daughters, Denise Lockhart of Memphis, TN, Vivian Lyons of Fall River, Latasha Fowler of Rhode Island, and Lisa Fernandes-Mccloud of Concord, MA.  She has 15 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Earnest Coleman, Jack Coleman, John Coleman, Willie Coleman, and George Anderson. Her Sisters, Rosie Johnson, and Emma Bruce.  Her parents predeceased Ruthie and her brothers, Arthur B. Coleman and Clifton Anderson.

Ruthie will be missed and honored by all those who knew and loved her. If she ever had the chance to know her, you loved her. Our Angel has gained her wings.

“We will miss our sweet girl.”
