With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ryan M. Cruz of Virginia Beach, Virginia, on October 6, 2025, at the age of 48. Ryan was a beloved son, brother, and uncle whose laughter, compassion, and gentle spirit brought joy to everyone around him.

Ryan had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved. His quick wit and caring nature made him the heart of every gathering, and his quiet strength was a constant source of comfort to his family.

He is survived by his devoted parents, Rudy and Venice Cruz; his loving brothers, Rod and Ron Cruz; his sisters in law Adrienne and Princess Cruz, as well as his adored niece and nephews, Grayson, Owen, Jared, and Scarlett Cruz. To his family, Ryan was more than a brother or uncle—he was a loyal friend, a guiding light, and a steady presence who will never be forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ryan's life at Hollomon & Brown Funeral Home, 3445 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23456. A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 9th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with funeral services on Friday, October 10th, at 10:00 a.m.

Though he is no longer with us in body, Ryan's love, kindness, and laughter will live on forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
