Ryan Scott Deal

Ryan Scott Deal, beloved husband, father, and grandpa passed away at his home in Wheaton, Minnesota on April 21, 2025, leaving a void his family cannot fill after fighting a courageous battle against cancer.

Ryan was born in Breckenridge, MN on September 7, 1974 to Lynn and Jerome Deal. He attended and graduated school in Wheaton in 1993. He went on to college at NDSCS in Wahpeton, North Dakota graduating in 1995 with a degree in Farm Business Management/Agricultural Mechanics. He continued his education, graduating in 1997 with a degree in Electrical Technology. Ryan held a Journeyman and Masters Electrical license.

He welcomed his son Trey Alexander Deal into his life on February 26, 2001. He went on to marry the love of his life Carol Ann Peterson on June 26, 2020 welcoming four bonus daughters into his heart and legally adopting Adriana (Carol's second daughter) in 2021.

Ryan enjoyed the simpler things in life such as hunting, fishing, farming, and going with Carol and the kids to concerts. He devoted his life to his family, especially his grandchildren.

Ryan is survived by his wife Carol; children: Trey Deal (Brandie DeHate), Elyssa Ogle, Adriana (Bradley) Westrom, McKenna Sanstead, Emily Sanstead; grandchildren: Carter and Madalynn Deal, Theodore Lex, Roman Paulson, Zayn and Navie Westrom; mother Lynn Deal; brothers: Steven (Melissa) Deal, Erik Deal (Amy Churchill); mother-in-law Mary Scott; nephews: Zackery (MaKenna) Deal, Isaac Deal (Emily Ratajczak), and Owen Deal.

Ryan is preceded in death by his father Jerome Deal; son-in-law Cody Lex; and his beloved dogs Lily, Maddie, Hailey, and Anna.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, April 25, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wheaton, MN with Rev. Cheryl Berg officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church.
