HELLO in heaven, Ryan!

As I write this, I see and hear you saying, "I expect to see Red here when I look in your yard." Well, I expect to see YOU when I look into YOUR yard! We all miss you, and we always say, "If only...." It doesn't count though, so I would ask that you hold hands with Red, and with all your loved ones, and shine your ever-loving love down on the rest of us who will join you in the future. Until then, we will remember you and smile at all the ways you made our lives better. We will never forget you Ryan! Happy heavenly birthday!

My tie to this vibrant and much loved young man goes back to his Grandmother Flo Hoffman and her late husband, Joe Hoffman as we all were in high school together. Fortunately, the years didn't separate our friendship, and now, in this saddest of times I get to say how sorry I am, learning of their young grandson's death. We live in an age when this is an inconceivable thought, and yet we are here facing its reality. My heart goes out to all the family, knowing the love they had for each other, which Flo smilingly reiterated to me this summer when we got together when I visited from Florida. I'm so glad I get the privilege of earnestly praying for you all as you say your love-filled goodbyes to Ryan.

Ryan and I met in 2023. I instantly became friends with him and his love for sports him and I shared. He loved baseball, basketball. He was amazing at both sports. He was so funny and always sweet to every person he came in to contact with. He has such a big heart. He loved music and just playing it so loud. His love for the Yankees was amazing. I remember him telling me he grew up going to games with his parents parents. I miss him as well as my friends. I know you are in a better place and dancing with your loved ones in heaven. I am praying for your family so much as they deal with the change. Forever in our hearts Ryan.

My first memory of Ryan is him sitting in his baby seat in front of the fireplace in Tillson. Tiny, sweet, beautiful! I wanted to eat him up! My fondest memory tho', is of when he gave me his stuffed animal - a crab from "Sponge Bob" I believe! He just wanted me to have it, and I still do have that crazy crab! I love it and will keep it forever. I love you Ryan!
