Ryan Neil "Boonie" Kleweno, 48, passed away on March 22, 2023, at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, Kan. He was born on May 10, 1974, in Ransom, Kan., to Donald "Donnie" and Connie (Gross) Kleweno.
Growing up in LaCrosse and Bazine, and later living in Hays and Great Bend, Ryan worked as a tile mechanic installing all types of flooring, along with different shop jobs. He was a free spirit, uninhibited, and went where life took him. Ryan was an animal lover and his passions included RC cars, riding ATVs and motorcycles. He especially loved spending time with family and friends. Ryan will be remembered for his good heart and willingness to give and help where he could.
Survivors include his son, Adam Kleweno of Henryetta, Okla.; two brothers, Lonnie (Pamela Venn) Kennedy of Charlotte, N.C., and Jason Kleweno of Columbia, Mo.; a niece, Nicole (Craig Sharp) Kennedy-Sharp of Wichita, Kan.; two nephews, Michael and Davey Kennedy, both of Wichita, Kan.; significant other, Laura Stevenson; co-parent, Andrea Strobel-Guynes; and four half sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Mark Kennedy; and grandparents, Adam and Helen Gross.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Vandenburg presiding. Inurnment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memorials have been designated to the American Cancer Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. The family wishes to make out of town guests aware that further fellowship will take place directly after funeral services, and that there is a block of rooms available at the Best Western Angus Inn.
