Ryan H. Mahady

1979 - 2025

Ryan Henry Mahady, 46, passed away on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025. Born on May 26, 1979, Ryan grew up in Latrobe and Pittsburgh, and Westchester County, NY. A graduate of Rye Country Day School (followed by a postgraduate year at New Hampton School) and Skidmore College, Ryan excelled on the hockey teams at each school and made many loyal, lifelong friends along the way. He was also an avid and talented golfer who started out winning two-hole tournaments as a five-year-old at the home of one of his heroes, Arnold Palmer's Latrobe Country Club. Ryan spent most of his professional career as an executive recruiter for large multinational companies, including Philips and Schneider Electric. But he lived for his family and friends, most especially his two sons, Luke Mahady and Henry Mahady, who were his world. His mother, Sharon Cassidy, will remember his innate ability to engage with anyone he met. His brother, Matt Mahady, will remember him as his best friend. Everyone will remember him for his fun and kind spirit. Predeceased by his father, Patrick Mahady; Ryan's family, including Patrick's partner of 32 years, Beverly Rudeen, takes comfort in knowing that Ryan is at peace with his Dad. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, at LOPATICH-BRINKER FUNERAL HOME LLC, 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, at Holy Family Church, Latrobe. Interment will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery.
