Rylan Wright, a vibrant and cherished soul, left this world on February 9, 2025, in Olathe, Kansas, at the tender age of 16. Born on January 15, 2009, in Sulphur, Louisiana, Rylan encompassed a spirit as bright as the sun, bringing joy and laughter to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Rylan had an infectious personality that could light up any room. His kindness, love, and unwavering sense of humor were qualities that drew people to him, and his presence was a gift that will be sorely missed. He possessed a big appetite for life, finding joy in the simplest of moments, whether that was sharing laughter with friends or spending time drawing and fishing—hobbies that brought him immense happiness.
Rylan is deeply mourned by his loving parents, Brandi Wright, father, Dondi Wright, step-father, Billy Seiter, sisters, Rayleigh, Raygen, Destiny, and Trinity Wright, step-sisters, Alexis and Makaylah Seiter, grandparents, David and Corrina Hoffpauir, Melinda and Jon Jones, Billy Seiter Sr., and many aunts and uncles, who filled his life with love and support. Rylan’s laughter and zest for life will continue to echo in their hearts and homes, reminding them of the beautiful memories created together.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rylan's life and the love he spread so generously. Visitation will be held on February 18, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, both at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, located at 14275 S Black Bob Rd, Olathe, KS 66062.
Rylan Wright leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and artistic creativity. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved him. Rest in peace, dear Rylan. Your light will not be forgotten.
