S. Brunk Obituary
Born in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine, Dr. Brunk walked a path of deep faith, humility, and service. His life was a living testament to the love of God, and those who knew him felt the serenity of his presence and the reverence he held for all life. As a respected oncologist, he cared for others not only with skill but with a heart of grace.
He is survived by his cherished wife, Mary; their children: Paul, Barbara, Sam (Anne), Geoff (Jinn), Heather (Jeff), Kirsten (Forrest), Jill (Harold), Peter (Lisa), and Andrew (Rob); along with their grandchildren: Alex (Alina), Alexis, Cooper, Ben, Jacob, Cheyenne, Carly, Jeremy, Madeleine, David, Isaac and Alysia; along with their precious cat Shadow. He now reunites with their son, Chris, who went before him.
A private gathering of love and remembrance will be held to honor his sacred journey.
