Sadonna Lu Pilgrim, of Independence, MO, went home to be with her Lord, February 16, 2024. Sadonna was born, September 14, 1933 in Independence, MO. She was the daughter of Nina (Harris-Powell) and Roy Tippet. Sadonna was united in marriage to John M. Pilgrim on November 4, 1951.
Survivors include: John M. Pilgrim, loving husband of 72 years; Michael (Linda) Pilgrim of Naples, FL; Denise Allen of Independence, MO; Darin (Cynthia) Pilgrim of Lone Jack, MO. Six grandchildren: Brock (Adam) Dolak; Brad Pilgrim; Adrianna (Videt) Norng; Jeremiah Allen; Lucas (Alisha) Pilgrim; Jessica (Michael) Gentry. Four great-grandchildren.
Sadonna was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was an active member in the First Christian Church of Independence, MO since 1945. Sadonna loved to be with her family, and she loved to cook, crochet, sew, and work puzzles. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed playing slot machines. Sadonna was a member of the Daughters of The Revolution and Christian Women’s Fellowship. She will be dearly missed.
