Saint Boulanger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Verrette's Funeral Home - New Roads on Oct. 30, 2025.
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me." John 14:7
St. Theresa Boulanger was born in New Roads, Louisiana, at St. Joseph Hospital on December 7, 1947, to the late Antoine Boulanger, Sr. and Louida Smith Boulanger. She departed her earthly life on October 21, 2025, at 7:30 pm at Heritage Place in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Bishop Saint Theresa accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mount Era Baptist Church, Morganza, Louisiana. She later answered her divine calling and was ordained as a Bishop, ministering beyond the church walls - laying hands, praying for the sick, and delivering God's Word to those in need.
She was a proud graduate of Batchelor High School. Following graduation, she honorably served her country in the United States Army for several years. Upon returing home, she became a teacher's aide at Upper Pointe Coupee and Rosenwald Schools, later dedicating twenty-five years of service to the Pointe Coupee Nursing Home.
Saint Theresa had a deep love for the outdoors and found great joy in fishing and crawfishing. Above all, she was a devoted and loving mother who cherished her sons and dedicated her life to their well-being.
She leaves to cherish her memories two loving sons; Fredrick Joseph Boulanger and Montrell Patrick Boulanger (Rose), both of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; eight grandchildren, Fredricka, Shedricka, Montiera, Montoya, Montrice, Kimoni, Trayvhon and Montralle; one sister, Gwendolyn Lanehart Derozan (Elvin) of New Roads, Louisiana; three brothers, Arthur Boulanger (Stephanie), J. C. Boulanger and Antoine Boulanger, all of New Roads, Louisiana; one brother-in-law, Allen Flowers; one sister-in-law, Paulette Boulanger; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Antoine Boulanger and Louida Smith Boulanger; one son; two sisters, Leona Boulanger and Ceola Flowers; three brothers, Clifford Vincent, Francis Boulanger and Leroy Boulanger; one brother-in-law, Percy Lanehart; three aunts and two uncles.
May her Soul Rest in Peace.
