Sally Ann Chamberlain

Sally was a wonderful, caring person who had a smile for everyone she met. When family members were hospitalized at Hinsdale Hospital in the 90's, Sally was the one who always stopped by to greet them and us. We got to know her and appreciate her kindnesses. We have kept in touch at Christmas all these years, and I am so grateful that her niece M.C., forwarded the 2024 Christmas card Sally wrote, but never got to send. She was an angel on this earth.

Sally was a regular visitor at the LaGrange Library. For the 4 years I worked there, we looked forward to her visits and made sure we had a selection of books ready for her. We witnessed her health battles, and no matter what, she always had a smile on her face, and would offer up a hug. I remember when her hair grew back, and she dyed it purple! Such spirit! Sally really touched us, and she really demonstrated what it means to be a community.
