Sally Montgomery Imwalle, an extraordinary woman whose light shone brightly in the hearts of everyone she encountered, left this world on November 29, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on February 5, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio, she was a beloved figure known for her outgoing spirit and a personality that truly lit up the room.

Sally attended Meadowdale High School, where her fun-loving nature began to take shape. She never met a stranger; she had an incredible gift for making those around her feel welcome and cherished. Her laughter was contagious, and her kindness touched the lives of many, as she always lent a helping hand to those in need.

Throughout her life, Sally embraced a variety of interests that brought her joy and fulfillment. She was a devoted dog lover, with her beloved Ruby by her side. Whether she was tending to her garden, watching birds flit about the yard, diving into thrift shops for hidden treasures, or tackling challenging crossword puzzles, Sally pursued her passions with enthusiasm and warmth.

Sally’s legacy lives on through her family. She is survived by her cherished sisters, Susan Montgomery and Laura Piazza, along with her devoted son, Jeremiah Johnson (Rachael), and her loving daughter, Anna Shiverdecker (Brian). The love she held for her grandchildren, Gunnar and Toshiro, will shine through in the memories they carry with them. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by her boyfriend, John; nephews, Samuel, Michael, and Franklin, her niece Susane, and many cousins, along with other family members and friends who were lucky enough to know her.

The impact of Sally's life will be felt deeply by all who loved her. She has been reunited with her parents, Dick and Shirley Montgomery, her brothers, Michael Montgomery and Ricki Montgomery, her uncle, Jim Montgomery and her best friend, Carol, who welcomed her with open arms. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, the warmth and joy she spread will continue to resonate in the hearts of her loved ones. Sally Montgomery Imwalle was a beacon of love and compassion, and her memory will forever remain a guiding light.
