Sally Keller Jackson

Sally Keller Jackson, 73, of North Little Rock went to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ on September 16th, 2010. She was born April 19th, 1937, in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Cecil and Veda Bray Keller. Sally was a retired school teacher with the North Little Rock School District for twenty-eight years, first at Lynch Drive Elementary School and for a long time at Pike View Elementary School. After she retired, Sally continued to follow the progress and pursuits of her extended student family and loved hearing from them. Sally was the owner of Keller’s Mobile Home Park in Rose City, a business founded by her dear father and mother. Like most daughters, Sally cherished her relationship with her father. After all, she was her father’s only child! Sally’s most prized trait was that she was a loyal and loving friend. She deeply loved spending time with her numerous friends playing bridge and attending performances at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, where she was a season ticket holder. Sally was a consummate writer of notes and letters to her friends and family, and enjoyed receiving photos from all her friends’ children and grandchildren. Every inch of her refrigerator was covered with photos! Sally was a proud graduate of North Little Rock High School, Class of 1955. She attended Hendrix College, and graduated from The University of Mississippi in 1959, where she was a member of Chi Omega Fraternity. Sally dearly loved her church and was proud to be a charter member of Indian Hills United Methodist Church, which later merged with and became the permanent site of The First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock. Cherishing her memory are her only son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kelly Shively Jackson of Little Rock. Her son and his wife wish to thank Kelly’s family and all Sally’s many friends across the state and country who have supported and befriended her all these many years. Few people were as blessed as Sally to have had so many good friends. Visitation will be Sunday, September 19, 5–7 PM, in the Fellowship Hall of The First United Methodist Church. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM on Monday, September 20th, in the Sanctuary of The First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock.
