Sally Ann Koelling

Sally Ann Koelling was born on April 12, 1958, and died on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the age of 67. Survivors include her husband Michael Koelling, two sons, Wesley (Sara) and Jeffrey (Sarah) and eight grandchildren, Landon, Vanessa, Natalie, Lorelai, Quinlynn, Kyzen, Scarlett, Hudson, and sister Betty Jo (Don) Hoadley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Betty Steele, sister, Joyce (Allan) Lindholm, and three brothers, Richard, Roger, and Fred Steele.

Sally was born and raised in Abilene, KS, where she also met the love of her life, Michael. Sally and Michael were united in holy matrimony on June 13, 1976. In 1982, they moved to Emmett, KS, with their two sons. They began building their forever home in 1984. Growing up, Sally spent endless hours working in her parents' restaurant. Later on in life, she became a dog groomer and then worked many years as an optician technician. She loved all of her jobs, but dog grooming held a special place in her heart.

Sally had a passion for fishing, and she loved watching the cars race at Thunder Hill Speedway. Sally also loved her grandkids so much. Her grandkids were her whole world, and she made sure everybody knew that.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 4 at Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple St., St. Marys, KS 66536 with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in St. Clere Cemetery in Emmett, Kansas.
