Sally May Ledbetter Pruett, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024 in Grant, Alabama. She was born on February 15, 1933. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was an inspiration and role model for all that knew her and will be missed by all.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Ellison and May Ledbetter of Waverly, TN, her sister Martha Dailey of Clarksville; her daughter Barbara Pruett (infant), her son Greg Pruett of Waverly, TN, her granddaughter Jennifer Thornton Taylor of Holladay, TN and son-in-law Jimmy Thornton of Holladay, TN.
Sally is survived by her children Mike Pruett (Irene) of Waverly, TN, Judy Pruett Thornton of Holladay, TN, Pat Pruett McKee (Gary) of Grant, AL, and Linda Pruett Seay (Mike) of Clarksville, TN. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Jaime Thornton Tyler (Martin), Bo Pruett, Justin Thornton (Sandra), Jeffrey Stanfill (Amy Jo), Brittney Stanfill, Danielle McGaha (Drew), Kim Waggoner (Jeremy), Tammy Mann of Guntersville, AL and Sheri Crowell of Scottsboro, AL. In addition, she is survived by thirteen great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends Joyce Fizer, and Betty Palk.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 11 AM at Taylor Cemetery in Humphrey’s County.
