Sally Anne Wealand

Sally Anne Wealand, 80, of Stevens, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Artman Home, Ambler.

She was born in Denver to the late Wilbur and Alverta (Getz) Shimp and was the wife of the late Forrest "Sonny" Wealand.

She was a member of Mellingers Lutheran Church in Schoeneck, where she served on multiple committees over the years and participated in Bible study. During her working years, Sally served as a secretary for Richard L. Sensenig Co. and Mellingers. Sally was a member of the Denver Women's Club and a long-time secretary of the Schoeneck Civic Association. In her earlier years, she enjoyed snowmobiling in Sullivan County, and until recently, vacationing each year in Long Beach Island, NJ with friends and family. In her free time, she enjoyed playing board games and cards. Most of all, Sally cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Sally is survived by a daughter, Andrea, wife of Nathan Webber; a son, Bradley, husband of Diane (Verso) Wealand; five grandchildren, Meredith Webber, Madison Webber, Nicole Wealand, Macey Webber, Benjamin Wealand; five sisters-in-law, Florence Shimp, Beatrice Shimp, Dolores, wife of G. Roger Gehman, Ethel Sensenig, and Linda, wife of Donald Netzley.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Alan; two brothers, Larry and Ernest Shimp and a brother-in-law, Richard Sensenig.

A viewing will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 6 to 8 PM, at Mellingers Lutheran Church, 80 Gockley Road, Stevens. An additional viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 10 to 11 AM, at the church, followed by her funeral service at 11 AM, with Pastor Tim Craven officiating. Interment will take place in Mellingers Cemetery.
