Sally Jean Weingard

Our dear, sweet Sally Jean Weingard, 78, of Oxnard, CA, passed away on December 1st, 2024, following a lengthy illness. Sally was born in Oil City, PA (raised in Seneca, PA) to Parma and Robert Rhodes on May 16th, 1946. She attended Cranberry Area High School, graduating in 1963. In 1968, she met and married her true love, Paul. Sally was know for her kindness and sense of humor and love of a good patty melt. After she and Paul volunteered as "pushers" for the sprint car races at the VC Fairgrounds they would often dine out at Milano's or Carrow's or her favorite, the Vagabond Café in Ventura where she claimed they made the best patty melts (she was truly a patty melt connoisseur). Sally is survived by her husband of 56 years, Paul Weingard, brothers Robert (Becky), Richard (Nancy) and Bill, numerous nephews, nieces, and fur daughter Bella. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association. A very special thank you to the caring folks at the Angel of God Hospice whose support this past year made all the difference in the world. A celebration of Sally's life will be announced at a later date.
