Salvatore A. Consiglio

At his home, 93 Domincan Rd., Branford, surrounded by his children, Salvatore A. Consiglio, husband of the late Agnes Palumbo Consiglio, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2010. He was the father of Christine (Joseph) Fontana of Branford, Andrew (Lisa) Consiglio of Southbury, and Michael (Cindy) Consiglio of Madison; grandfather of Alexa Consiglio, Marco Fontana, and David, Olivia and Ben Consiglio; and brother of Frances Consiglio of Branford. He was born June 13, 1927, son of the late Andrew and Christine Acampora Consiglio. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was a plumber for Yale- New Haven Hospital until his retirement. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Church in Branford and was a member of the Italian-American Club of Branford. Sal was extremely devoted to his family, especially his grandchildren, and he had a great passion for fishing. His funeral will leave the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Branford, Thursday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Church at 10:00. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 4-8 pm.
