Sam Everage Obituary

GROVERTOWN-Sam H. Everage, 83, passed away December 24, 2016 at his home. Sam was born March 17, 1933 in Knott County, KY to Ben Everage and Chloe (Singleton) Combs and lived in the area most of his life. He was a former employee of Whirlpool. He attended church regularly and was a devout Christian that loved serving the Lord. On February 14, 1999 in Kissimmee, FL he was married to the former Marcella Beerwart, who survives. Also surviving are five children, Larry Everage of Knox, James (Krista) Everage of Grovertown, David (Cheri) Everage of Grovertown, Dennis Everage of Grovertown and Susan (Estill) Rice of Grovertown; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and close friend, Maggie Everage. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Louis Everage, Harold Everage, Sherman Combs and Donald Combs; and sisters, Lois Estep, Laura Smith, Aileen Carver and Theda Faye Baxter. Funeral services will be Friday, December 30, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. (Central Time) at the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Knox. Friends may call Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Riley Children's Hospital. Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel is handling arrangements.
