It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Samuel Cleon Pearson, who left this world peacefully on January 8, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on January 5, 1960, in Monette, Sam was a cherished son, devoted father, and faithful friend to many.
A proud graduate of Paragould High School, Class of 1978, Sam dedicated his professional life to the automotive industry. As an Automotive Parts Specialist, he found joy and fulfillment in helping others while nurturing his passion for classic cars. His keen eye for detail and unwavering dedication earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues during his tenure at NAPA, O'Reilly's, and most recently, Battery Parts Warehouse.
Sam married the love of his life, Wendy Kibbler, on November 18, 1983. Their enduring bond was evident in the little things he did to cherish her; every Wednesday, without fail, he would return home with flowers and a heartfelt card, a testament to his deep affection and commitment. Together, they built a warm and loving home in Paragould, where Sam loved to spend quality time with family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
A devoted member of the 7th & Mueller Church of Christ, Sam found strength and fellowship within his community. His faith was a cornerstone of his life and guided him in all his endeavors.
Sam is survived by his beloved son, Adam Pearson (Jamey Spaunhorst) of Paragould; daughter, Sarah Pearson of Paragould; granddaughters, Aubree Grooms of Paragould and McKynna Sandlin of Poplar Bluff; grandsons, Sammy Pearson of Pocahontas and Ethan Jones of Batesville; brother, TJ Pearson of Paragould; sisters, Shirley Sneed of Springfield, Missouri and Katherine Poppe of Cahokia, Illinois; and many nephews, nieces, and friends, who will carry on his legacy of love and kindness.
Sam was preceded in death by his bride of 35 years, Wendy Pearson; parents, Herman and Flora Pearson; and brothers, Bill, Sr., Kenny, Harold, and Darrell Pearson.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Heath Funeral Home, where family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate Sam's life. A visitation will begin at 11:30 AM, followed by a funeral service commencing at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Finch Cemetery.
Samuel Cleon Pearson will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His warmth, compassion, and zest for life will forever remain in our hearts.
