Samantha Taylor Bucknell, 30, of
Savannah, GA passed away unexpectedly on November 10th, 2025.
Samantha was born on April 7th, 1995 in Fairfax, VA, to Brie Malarkey and Carl Bucknell. Sammy, as she was better known, was raised in Acushnet, Massachusetts. She graduated from New Bedford High School (MA) in 2013 before attending Bloomfield College (NJ).
An avid traveler herself, Sammy worked for the federal government as a Transportation Security Administration Officer. A mother to three young children, her time on earth was marked with an unwavering amount of love and laughter. Sammy introduced soccer to her children with hopes of sharing with them one of her deepest passions. She often spent her free time at the home of her Aunt Lindsey and Uncle Jay, gathered with her children, mother, cousins and grandmother. This past year she had found her green-thumb and filled nearly every free inch of her house with plants. Sammy was fearless
and never shied away from trying something new. She traveled and saw the world in a new light, often with her cousins by her side.
Though Sammy had many passions, her greatest of all were her children. She loved them fiercely, passionately, and kindly. She had a new-found joy of parenting following the arrival of Lena and like many parents, Samantha sacrificed many of her passions when she became a mom and never once skipped a beat. She stepped into motherhood graciously and so proudly bore the title of 'mother'. A piece of her lives within each of her children and it shows greatly.
Samantha is survived by one daughter and two sons, Lena, Luca and Leon Beardsley of
Savannah, GA; four siblings, Devon Malarkey of North Bend, WA, Ellie Blaisdell of Seattle, WA, Lily Bucknell of
Savannah, GA and Riley Bucknell of South Deerfield, MA; her maternal grandmother, Sally Mourad of
Savannah, GA; her maternal grandfather, Robert Mourad of Scottsdale, AZ; her boyfriend, Mario Black of Atlanta, GA; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her cousin Colby Mohler; her uncle Jason Medlin; her paternal grandfather, George Bucknell; her paternal grandmother, Janet Bucknell; and her maternal grandfather, Dennis Malarkey.
A formal memorial service will be announced at a later date.
