Samantha was born on May 10, 1966, in Laconia, the daughter of Frederick Schofield and Patricia (Threlfall) Soucy.
Samantha lived in the Lakes Region for the majority of her life and attended Laconia High School and the Empire Beauty School. In the summer months, she was typically at her camp in Small Point, Maine with her dogs that she deeply loved.
Samantha had a strong will and a desire for adventure. Being amazingly strong-minded, her medical conditions never prevented her from having fun. The inner daredevil typically resulted in a never back down mindset. Sam enjoyed snowmobiling, ATVing, gardening, crafting, sewing and hairdressing. She was a local small business owner starting with Schofield Upholstery and Drapery in Belmont. Thereafter, Sam took to hairdressing where she went on to own Small Miracles in Belmont and then Style of Boston in Laconia.
Samantha is survived by her loving husband Joseph Holub, son Nick Bernier, grandchildren Molly and Cameron, mother Patricia Soucy and brother Joshua Schofield. She was predeceased by her father.
Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10:00am-12:00pm, in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
