Samantha Ysquierdo Obituary
Samantha Ysquierdo
December 17, 1983 - July 11, 2025
Samantha "Menna" Ysquierdo, of Plover, passed away unexpectedly, on July 11, 2025, at the age of 41.
Menna was born December 17, 1983, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter of Samuel Ysquierdo and Maclovia (Zapata) Walker. She was the third of six children who all shared a deep bond with one another. Menna cherished her relationship with each of her siblings.
Menna's entire life was dedicated to family. Growing up, her siblings were the light of her life, and once she became a mother, that love grew to include her precious babies. On January 2, 2001, her son, Kristoffer Erick was born. On November 30, 2003, her beautiful daughter, Annayellie Andrea joined the family. Menna loved her children fiercely and they were the loves of her life! She also joyfully spent much of her time with her entire family, whether it was just getting together on a weekend or celebrating something special. When Papi came to town, it was an additional holiday where Menna and the whole family enjoyed spending the weekend eating Texas fajitas and going out to eat. When the family went out to eat, they often took up the entire restaurant and filled it with laughter, cackling like hyenas!
When Menna wasn't hanging out with her family, she found pure enjoyment in dancing, gardening, reading, and playing disc golf. She also loved swimming and picnicking at the nearby lakes. Menna was an avid movie and TV show enthusiast, taking in the visual entertainment when she could. In the evening, Menna enjoyed peaceful nature walks with her feline companion, Biel.
Menna loved her family more than anything else, and they loved her in return. Her free spirit will be greatly missed. She truly was the life of the party - a spontaneous, feisty goddess!
Menna is lovingly survived by her son, Kristoffer Ysquierdo; her daughter, Annayellie Ysquierdo; her Papi, Samuel Ysquierdo of Houston, Texas; her mother, Maclovia Walker of Stevens Point; and her siblings, Rosemary Ysquierdo of Plover, Stephanie (Dean) Ysquierdo of Plover, Samuel Ysquierdo Jr. of Appleton, Michelle Ysquierdo of Wisconsin Rapids, and Raquel (Travis) Ysquierdo-Kath of Dallas, Texas. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews; two great-nieces; her beloved fur-baby, Biel; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Menna was preceded in death by her niece, Olivia "Yaya"; her nephew, Nathaniel "Nano;" her great-niece, Mari; her maternal grandparents, Maria and Fidel Zapata; and her paternal grandfather, Brijido Ysquierdo.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Shuda Funeral Chapel - 3200 Stanley Street, Stevens Point. Friends and family are invited to gather and share memories at the funeral home from 1 p.m. to the time of the service.
