Sammie Spencer Obituary
Sammie Arrington Spencer, 70, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Surry Community Health and Rehab in Mount Airy. He was born in Davie County on Aug. 13, 1950, to the late Preston Wyatt and Mary Helen Hartman Spencer. Mr. Spencer enjoyed golf and music. He is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Dudley; brothers, Mickey Spencer, Gary Spencer, and Frankie Spencer. In addition to his parents Mr. Spencer was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Dallas and Carol Spencer. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 10, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jay Meadows officiating. A private burial will follow in Flower Gap Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. There will not be any formal visitation. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy is serving the Spencer family.
