June & "Kids", We are so very sorry for your loss. May our Lord & Savior give you His Peace & Comfort during your time of grieving. Sam will be missed by many of us....he was one of a kind, certainly his own man, respected and loved by many.

To the Family of Sammy Ashley
It is said that a man is known by the company he keeps. I had/have the pleasure of knowing family, who are an extension of him. By their virtue, he was a fine man. So too must his friends be/have been.
Please accept our sympathies.

My heart goes out to June and the Family. Many an hour/day was spent sitting around the kitchen table - hearing stories and laughing with Sam. If you didn't learn something there, then you were not paying attention. Stories and jokes and laughter. I am honored to have known him, called him friend, and loved him as a father. His heart was gold and his spirit was true. He was a large part of my "growin' up". He will forever have a piece of my heart.
