Mr. Sammy David Wooten (aka Slammer), 65, went on his last ride Thursday October 6, 2022.
He is survived by his loving sister, Judy Wooten Jackson and husband Broadus; brothers, Jeff Wooten and Debie, Bobby Wooten and Darlene, George Harris and wife Janice, and Paul Wooten. Daughters, Samantha and husband from Hendersonville and Lisa from Gastonia, Sons; David Lee from Gastonia, David (Slick) Philbeck from Shelby and many grandchildren, nieces; Brandy, Jennifer and husband Chris, Holly and husband Kenneth, Kathy and wife Stephanie, Rosie and Amanda Harris.
Born in Gaston County on December 22, 1956, he was the son of the late Sam and Trilbie Dailey Wooten, brother, Floyd Wooten and wife Debbie, son, Danny Wooten.
A special thanks to George and Janice Harris and family for their love and support. Also special thanks to David (Opie) Heffner, Tonya Howell, Sandra Harding Family, a good friend Jennifer Roy, The Brothers MC of Union, SC, United Veterans of America Post 1 of Gastonia, Kings Mountain Knights MC and everyone who was involved in Sam Wooten's Memorial Ride.
