Samuel Albert Bonacci

Samuel A. Bonacci, 86, of Weirton passed away on Tuesday April 22, 2014, at his home. Born on May 28, 1927, in Weirton, WV, Sam was a son of the late Angelo John and Catrina Mancini Bonacci. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Antoinette "Toni" C. Orsini Bonacci on July 21, 2012. Sam retired from Weirton Steel after 38 years of service, where he worked as an electrician at the Steubenville Plant. He served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and tinkering around his home. In his younger days, he enjoyed decorating his home, at Christmas time, with a beautiful display of lights. Sam was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. He is survived by his son, Samuel A. (Joyce) Bonacci of Easton, MA; his daughter, Marguerite A. Bonacci of Follansbee, WV; his brother, Robert Bonacci of Weirton, WV; his brother in law, Sandino Orsini of Follansbee, WV; his granddaughters, Samantha E. and Meredith A, Bonacci; his nephew, Robert (Mary) Bonacci; and his great niece, Ava Bonacci. In accordance with Sam's wishes his body will be cremated by the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton.
