Samuel Bria Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beck-Givnish Funeral Home, Inc. on Feb. 1, 2026.
Samuel C. Bria

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sam, who left us on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. He was 89 years of age. Sam is a U.S. Army Veteran, serving on Active Duty from 1959 to 1961. He was stationed in Germany for one year during the Cold War.

Sam is survived by his bride and love for over 40 years, Regina Bria.

Sam left behind a fantastic family of children and grandchildren. Sam's family consists of Michael (Rita), John (Lisa), Kenny (Kris) Bria, and Leslie Crocker (Nick), the late Raymond Amato, Christian Amato (Lynn), and Jeana Foster (Gordon).

Sam's beloved grandchildren are Dawn, David, Matthew, Stephen (Maddie), Pete, and Tim Bria; Addison and Lilia Foster, Olivia Crocker, and Sebastian Amato. Sam was preceded in death by his great granddaughter Adeline Ody Bria. Sam is survived by his sister Lorraine Bria of Jupiter, Florida. Sam is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Sam's love of Philly sports was a lifelong passion. He never missed a game or a box score, and he got a chance to see the Phillies this past summer with family.

Sam spent many years in the shoe business where he earned the nickname, "Shoe Man Sam." He went on to work for the State of New Jersey as a security guard. His role as essential personnel was guarding the War Memorial with his trusty whistle. He retired at the young age of 78.

He enjoyed a good meal, especially at Italian Mens' Night, where he loved a good martini and a glass of fine wine, but a takeout meal never went to waste!

Sam and Jean traveled hand in hand from Italy to Aruba to Atlantic City and many points in between.

Sam had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor. He could tell a joke to a room full of grandkids, to a dinner table of grumpy old men… or to anyone who would listen!

He loved Frank Sinatra and all the classics. He always lived life "Sam's Way."

Family and friends are invited to attend his Life Celebration on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. at Beck-Givnish Funeral Home, 7400 New Falls Rd. Levittown, PA, 19055. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 752 Big Oak Road, Morrisville, PA, 19067, and live streamed online at https://stjohnpa.org/live-stream-mass/.
