Dear Janey and family
I am so saddened to hear of Sammy's death and have such wonderful memories of happier times at Wilson High and Frederick College. He could always bring a smile to any face and will be remembered for the person he was and the one he grew to be. You are in my prayers for renewed strength and comfort.

Dear Janey - No one can know how hard this is for you. I hope you have lots of loving family and friends around you. I lost my first born son 2 years ago and I understand the level of your pain, but I will say that it will get better with time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God bless you. Dear Janey, I am so sorry to hear about dear Sammy. I still remember our days at Frederick College and how young we were. The last time we saw you both at one of the reunions he was still like that young, funny and cute college guy. I know this is a difficult time for you and your family and I wish I could make your sorrow go away. Knowing you and Sammy, I'm sure you must have wonderful and talented children. Please know we are thinking of you. God Bless you. Love, George and Jackie Reynolds Anas

Dear Janey and Family:
Please accept my deepest condolences on Sam's passing. It is true that the good die young. Sam was an extraordinary man with an extraordinary soul and passion for life. Sam's life was defined by his love for his family, his selfless service to the community, and his devotion to those in need. Sam will be remembered and loved by many in his local social services family, the volunteer rescue squad for which he advocated, his many colleagues around the state through his leadership in the Virginia League of Social Services Executives, and by a legion of us fortunate to count him as a friend. I am a better person for having known Sam over the last 20 years. I remember fondly many things about Sam, but especially our annual day-trip to the Homestead each November. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to visit Emporia late last month and spend a couple of hours of quality time with him. He was in great spirits and, as always, upbeat about the future. May his memory be as a blessing to you, those he loved the most and to whom he was devoted. Jeff Lake, Richmond.
