Samuel C. Bush

I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of Sam Bush and wish to send my condolences to all his family and friends. I'm remembering how important he was to my late husband, Stan Brakhage, and the amazing film work they collaborated on through the '90s. Praising Sam's work, Stan wrote that it was "much as if I were a composer who handed him a painted score, so to speak, and a few instructions -- a medieval manuscript one might say -- and he were the musician who played it."
