SAMUEL BYRAM Obituary
May 3, 1944 – Sept. 20, 2025
Samuel E. Byram, aged 81, of El Centro, passed away on September 20, 2025. Born on May 3, 1944, Samuel was known for his profound commitment to his family and community.
Samuel was a beloved figure in his community, described as an amazing, caring father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. His inspirational presence resonated throughout his interactions and contributions, making a lasting impact on those around him.
He is survived by his children, Kristy Summers, Sean Byram, and Vikki Ellis (Wes); grandchildren, Baliegh Weber, Patricia Ellis, Sara Ellis, Sami Byram, and Patience Byram; and great-grandchildren, Asher Weber, Rachell, and Gwen Ellis-Colwell. Samuel also leaves behind his brother, Doug Byram, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Sammy Byram; parents, Ralph and Lorene Byram; brother, Donald Byram; nephew, Ron Byram; and niece, Lori Garcia.
Throughout his life, Samuel was an avid participant in various local activities that reflected his passions. He was a long-standing member of the Sun Runners Car Club and held a special place in the IV Football Players Hall of Fame since 2016. His spirit for local sports was also evident through his involvement with the Brawley Union High Cat Spirit Award and his dedicated service of over 40 years with the Brawley Chain Gang.
A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery on October 29, 2025, at 12:30 p.m., where friends, family, and community members will gather to honor his memory and legacy.
