Samuel “Sam” A. Cardillo Jr. passed away February 3, 2025, at the age of 73. Beloved son to the late Sam and Nancy (Wenner) Cardillo Sr.
Sam is survived by his wife Lang Cardillo; Son, Alex Tran (Nhan su); Grandchildren, Kevin, Kenny, and Katherine; Brother, Louis Cardillo (Joyce); Sisters, Vera DaPra (Valentino), Loretta Rice (Colin), Linda Marchione (Robert), Lucille Peper (Richard); Many nieces and nephews, four great nieces and one great nephew.
Sam loved spending time with his wife, son, and grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed going to graduations, family barbecues/events, eating out, and spending time with the kids at the beach. He was very close with his brother and sisters and always made it a point to keep in touch with them.
He was a true veteran. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. He loved his country and always proudly displayed the American flag at his home.
Sam loved his former job as Church Sexton at St. Laurence Church in Upper Darby. He was meticulous about keeping the Church looking beautiful and his records current for all Church events. He always wanted to make sure the Church was presentable and functional for the congregation and visitors.
Relatives and friends are invited to Sam’s viewing on Monday, February 10, 2025 at St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM followed by his funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Interment private.
