We were very sorry to hear that Sam had passed. He will be missed by many. He always made our visit that much more enjoyable.

We were at Island Vista today and learned of Sam's passing. Cannot say enough good things about this gentle man. He will be missed.

Our family spent many years at The Sea Island Inn. Our favorite part of the trip was meal time. Sam was an institution at Sea Island. Always a gentleman and with a great sense of humor. Our children will never forget his kindness and gentle disposition. We will dearly miss him but will always cherish the memories of those years at Myrtle Beach. Our deepest condolences go to the Chestnut family.

My prayers go out to "Big Sams" family. He was always so kind to our family and will be missed. So sorry for your loss. Heaven has gained a angel.
