He opened his door and welcomed all,
Shared everything he had, answered every call.
He forgot himself so others could rise,
His love like bread - warm, humble, and wise.
Those who came from far, weary and afraid,
Found peace within the home that he had made.
He never tired for the ones he held dear,
His heart was wide, his hands always near.
Brother, uncle, the pillar who stood tall,
His name lives on in the hearts of us all.
Only his body has left us behind,
But his goodness - his goodness - will never unwind.
