Samuel was born on May 20, 1953, to Herman and Opal Virginia Elmore in Sebastian County, Arkansas. He spent his formative years there until he moved to Brownfield, Texas, to be with his brother and wife and their children. Samuel worked at DePoyster's Iron and Metal for many years, where he gained some lifelong friends. He was a man of many talents and many stories to tell. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and sitting under a shade tree with his dog, Sabrina. Samuel never had any children of his own, but he inherited those of his brothers, and he took that job very seriously. His nieces and nephews were the light of his life.
Samuel was quick-witted, kind, and always eager to lend a hand. He made many friends along his journey who all held a special place in his heart. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Opal Virginia Elmore, and siblings, Eva Louise Wilson, Lenual Elmore, Elmer Elmore, Rocky Elmore, Demus Elmore, Charles Elmore, Alta Bea Emery, and Virginia King.
Samuel is survived by his siblings, Ricky Elmore, Johnny Elmore and June Kiker; nieces and nephews, Chris and Betty Elmore, Junior and Misty Elmore, Crystal Elmore, Cheryl and Kelly, Brianna and Eloy Saenz; and great nieces and nephews, Michael, Ernesto, Lindsey, Ashley, Ciara, Cianna, Audrie, Haygen, Caidynn, Zaidynn, Analia, Kayven, Jonathan, Zackary, Ebonea, Zephan, Ivorea, Payslea and Kaliyah.
