Pastor Sam Latta,

We will never forget your Christlike example and life changing works on the campsite in the small town of Kwekwe, Zimbabwe. Staying in our humble family home and sharing your love for country music.

Thank you to the Latta family for sharing your Dad with us.

We remain strong in Christ because of his ministry.

Sam the man. I repaired his Honda 250 motorcycle in Liberia. His best joke, "Who dat says who dat when I say who dat." Best Liberian bush pilot. Helluva man, bar none. A legend in my mind.

Dear Latta Family,
We were saddened to hear of your great loss.
We were honored to have Bro. Latta in our home and church while pastoring in Iowa. He was quite a missionary and a blessing to our family.

Our hearts are with you,

Jerry Terry

Prayers for your family at Sams passing. Met in Bible School days and have witnessed his work for the Lord, especially in Missions. Enjoyed our friendship over the years.

To the Latta family, it is with heavy heart we wish we were there to hug y'all, pray with y'all, knowing this, we know the same God who will hold y'all tightly and move you through this process.. we hold you all up in prayer daily..praying for peace..comfort that only HE gives
We love love y'all from Colorado..your daddy meant the world to our family. Without hesitation, he stopped and came and took care of daddy when God called him home 4 years ago...your daddy lived his life well, giving , loving, enjoying Jesus. Sharing the good news of our savior..wow what a life!!! Could we all be so blessed? May you find comfort knowing how many hundreds, thousands of lives he touched and were forever changed because he allowed Jesus to use HIM!!! My family and now 3 generations strong have been changed because of Rev. SAM LATTA..IM SURE HIS REWARDS ARE MANY!!!!

Bro. Sam Latta and my father were close friends. The friendship between the Latta and the Maki families goes back a long, long time. I recall Bro. Latta and my dad sitting and discussing the Word of God and doctrines of truth for hours at a time. I remember the hilarious laughter shared after both of them telling stories, and jokes. Bro. Latta was such a great teacher and preacher. He was always kind and friendly. His faithfulness to the Word and his calling impacted churches and individuals from many nations. He was a very special person.

I've known Brother Sam Latta for over sixty years, since I was a child in St. Paul, MN where he studied the Word of God. In time, I became a colleague serving in UPCI Global Missions. He visited our home in Greece following a world conference in Jerusalem, then years later in Germany also where he ministered in several churches. It was always a joy to see him, hear him, and visit with him. Thank you, Bro. Sam, for your service to the KING around the world!
